Sometimes it is a struggle to get your toddler to eat breakfast in the morning, so that is when you need to add a little bit of creativity! Get them involved in cooking and get them excited! We created Rainbow Belgian Waffles to add some color to our morning and to make our bellies full!
What You Need:
- Belgian Waffle Maker
- 1 1/2 Cups KRUSTEAZ Light & Crispy Belgian Waffle Mix
- 2/3 Cup Water
- 1 Egg
- 3 Tablespoons Oil
- Food Coloring
Make the Belgian Waffles, as stated on the box, and separate mix into 4 bowls, equally. Mix food coloring in each bowl (the more drops, the darker the color). Get the kids involved in measuring out ingredients and pouring them in. They can also add the food coloring drops and help mix.
Place spoonfuls of mix into your Belgian Waffle maker, alternating the colors, wait to cook, and enjoy!
Optional: Add sprinkles, whipped cream, fruit, or anything you desire to your waffles to make it as sweet or healthy-ish as you want to!
Great recipe, kids would love this. Thanks for sharing.
Looking at the prep, I guess cooking these waffles was as fun as eating it! Love the colours!
You’re welcome!
