School is out and the heat is right outside our front door! Although your little one may not exactly be in school yet, there is a fun activity for them to participate in this summer!
While searching for fun things to do this summer, many only allowed kids 6-years-old and older to enroll in their summer camp programs. As I am sure you can relate, I am sure you don’t want your preschooler cooped up in the house all summer, especially when the temperatures reach 110 degrees! Just as I almost threw in the towel, I came across the Art House Gilbert‘s Summer Camp program for kids ages 3-5 and 6-10 years old.
Located in Downtown Gilbert, it is the perfect location to take your kids! We are just wrapping up the California Dreamin’ session and can’t wait for another!
Each class is 2.5 hours long and the sessions are for 3 days a week (Tuesday – Thursday). Every week, kids will do a bunch of activities based on the theme and will take home at least two pieces of art. Plus, they get a t-shirt at the end of the week! Parents are welcome to stick around or drop off their kids, however, I do suggest to stick around to at least get your daily complimentary Cold Brew from Sweetz Brew!
My 4-year-old was looking forward to this since we signed up and it did not disappoint! He colored and stickered a passport (journal), played with sand, created a Hollywood star with handprints, decorated seashells with glitter, made bracelets, did tie-dye, colored a map of California, and painted California, all in two days! He left each day with a smile on his face and couldn’t stop talking about the fun he had! As much as he is looking forward to the last day, he doesn’t want the fun to end!
The teachers are terrific as well! They spend a lot of time helping the kids and getting them excited to learn and have fun! We only planned on doing one week, however, will be signing up up for more!

It costs $125 per week/kiddo, which is actually a great price if you think about your kids getting watching for 2.5 hours for 3 days, including snacks, drinks, art & supplies, a t-shirt, and a cold brew a day!
