Moms, you may know the feeling. As soon as you pop your kid out (or sometimes when you announce that you are pregnant), you become a part of an elite group, otherwise known as being a mom. In mom life, your once-partying and staying up all night and sleeping in life has disappeared. Therefore, most of your friends start drifting away too.
Suddenly, all you talk about is your child, their accomplishments, dirty diapers, how you actually slept an extra 20 min., how many cups of coffee you drank today, how you wish you still had your pre-mom bod, etc. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, work-from-home mom, or even working mom, life can get lonely.
It’s harder than some think to make mom friends. Busy schedules and life gets in the way. Plus, when you are at a playground, your eyes are most likely on your child rather than scouting out a potential mom friend.

Have you ever heard of Peanut before? It’s a new app that allows moms to connect to other moms…kind of like Tinder for mom friends. No dates, no casual encounters…just likeminded mom meetups and playdates.
So, how does it work?
Currently, Peanut is only available for IOS (however, they are working on an Android app). You log in through Facebook, which makes it more secure, and you select buttons to describe your personality. You also include the number of children you have and ages (or if you are expecting) on your profile, and that is it! Swipe up to “wave” to a mom and swipe down to skip.
If you match, you are able to chat in a “match screen”. There is also a feature for group chats to coordinate group playdates, including suggesting activities, creating a poll for good times, and adding the playdate to your calendar.
Moms, rejoice! You can regain your social life again while your little ones meet new friends!

Wow! This is such a great idea! I remember when I first became a mom, I was so lonely and had no idea where to find mom friends. I was the first in my group to have a baby. I now have three boys, but I still would love to try this app.
