Last week, Travel Foodie Mom had the opportunity to attend Dish It Out, the Valley’s exciting, high-end culinary event, with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix.
Located on High Street, the event featured over 60 restaurants sampling their signature dishes, live entertainment, and head-to-head cook offs between celebrity chefs. With the plethora of restaurants in attendance, it gave us the opportunity to try new foods. Since it was all-you-can-eat and drink, we had our fair share of most of the restaurants there and only have positive reviews.
In addition, the head-to-head cook off between celebrity chefs made us feel like we had a backstage pass to a TV cooking show. The food looked delectable and the emcees, Bruce St. James and Pamela Hughes of 92.3 KTAR News, kept the show interesting. Celebrity chefs included Jason McGrath, Chris McKinley, Gio Osso, and Gregory Wiener, while celebrity judges included Robert McGrath (James Beard Award Winning Chef), Christina Barrueta (2016 Food Writer of the Year – Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame), Rick Phillips (Food Entrepreneur, EaterAZ.com), and David Tyda (Food Entrepreneur, EaterAZ.com).
The food and drinks were phenomenal, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the entertainment was engaging. The evening was very memorable and we are already looking forward to next year!
