If you are a foodie and love Greek food, It’s All Greek To Me is a must-try. Travel Foodie Mom had the opportunity to try complimentary food samples during a media invite at It’s All Greek To Me in Tempe Marketplace over the weekend. We were beyond excited!
From falafals to pitas and hummus, to gyro and chicken shawarma, everything was very tasty. Being used to Greek food in Detroit’s Greektown (as well as being part Greek), I am a tough judge, however was impressed. The gyro meat was tender, while the chicken shawarma was marinated and cooked to perfection. Their garlic sauce was pink, yes PINK, which makes them stand out from others.
However, my favorite items aren’t actually on the menu…the bowls. The bowls are named with the protein (i.e. Gyro Bowl, Chicken Shawarma Bowl, etc.) and are basically a wrap without the wrap (it does have a delicious bottom layer of rice). Being a “secret item”, you can ask for it, and they will make it for you!
If you would like to enjoy an evening of traditional Greek music and food, It’s All Greek To Me will be hosting a Greek Night on Tuesday, March 7th from 5:30pm-9pm. From buy one, get one free bowls (yes, my favorite menu item), to bouzouki music, this is a great opportunity have a Greek experience!
