If you all know me, you know my love for açaí bowls. Since falling in love with the flavor and health benefits in California, I am always on the lookout for a good açaí place in the Valley. One of those places that I frequent is Nekter Juice Bar, and they just opened a NEW location in Chandler!
Located at The Plant complex at Gilbert Rd. and Ocotillo, Nekter will be helping Chandler become more health-wise by offering a great selection of açaí bowls, smoothies, juices, and cleanses. This is the southernmost Nekter in the Valley, which is convenient to those who are used to a drive to pick up their favorite juice.
The açaí bowls are large enough to make it a breakfast, lunch, or a lighter dinner, which is one benefit. Coming from the mom side of it, the drinks are packed with nutrients, vitamins, fruits, and vegetables, so kids won’t realize that what they are drinking is actually healthy.
According to their website, benefits of Nekter juice are to get your daily dose of fruits and veggies, improve digestion, boost immunity, increase energy, and glow from within. Each juice also contains up to 3lbs of fresh fruits and veggies, is a natural anti-inflammatory, and is packed with vitamins and nutrients.
Travel Foodie Mom ventured to Nekter for the grand opening because it’s hard to resist açaí bowl when you are craving a good, healthy lunch. We had the Açaí Banana Berry Bowl (Açaí, strawberry, blueberry, banana, and housemade cashew milk blended together and topped with hempseed granola, fresh strawberry, blueberry, banana, and agave nectar. 420 cal.), Açaí Mango Bowl (Açaí, banana, pineapple, mango, and coconut water blended together and topped with hempseed granola, coconut flakes, banana, and agave nectar. 495 cal.), and the seasonal Watermelon Cooler. We also sampled the Mango Delight Smoothie (Mango, pineapple, housemade cashew milk and a little agave nectar. 248 / 416 cal.).
