How Does Your Milk Stack Up: fairlife Milk

Being lactose-intolerant has many downfalls, especially not being able to enjoy a nice glass of cold milk without popping a Lactaid first. And, don’t get me started on the cheese! When fairlife asked us to do an honest review in exchange for product, we didn’t even hesitate! Finding a milk alternative that tastes good is always a challenge.

We had the opportunity to test fairlife® SuperKids 2% reduced fat ultra-filtered milk  and fairlife Milk’s 2% Ultra-Filtered Chocolate Milk. We also received some fun masks and trivia!

According to the website, fairlife® SuperKids 2% reduced fat ultra-filtered milk has 12g of protein, 35% daily value of calcium, no added sugar, plus 125mg of DHA Omega-3. That’s more than the leading DHA Omega-3 milk, which has 32mg. While the rich and creamy fairlife® chocolate ultra-filtered milk has half the sugars of ordinary chocolate milk and 50% more protein.

The first up for our taste test was the fairlife® SuperKids 2% reduced fat ultra-filtered milk. Upon opening, it seemed as if the smell was off. Scared that I bought a spoiled milk, I checked the expiration date. It was fresh. I gave it a try, however, didn’t put it at the top of my list. Since it is a little creamier, it seems as if it has an acquired taste. I am not the biggest white milk fan to begin with, though I would give it another try.

Next up was the fairlife Milk’s 2% Ultra-Filtered Chocolate Milk. Now, that is good! The chocolate is rich, delicious, and good for you! I ended up having a second glass, while my son had 3 cups full. I would definitely purchase this milk again!

Overall, we were impressed, especially since this is actually a brand from Coca Cola (believe it or not!) You can find fairlife milk in a variety of stores across the country, so staying healthy can travel with you.
